Powers of Attorney: Tips and Traps from the Legal Perspective: Understanding the role of attorney, its responsibilities and limitations, is important – the attorney must review and understand the Power of Attorney document itself. The attorney must remember at all times, the incapacitated individual has appointed him/her as attorney as they trust that attorney to make good and reasoned financial decisions on their behalf.
Mr. Kantor is a lawyer who practices estate litigation. He is a partner with McLeod Law, LLP in Calgary.
